Alabaster bust Original of Roman Mythical Goddess Diana by G. Ruggeri, signed and dated 1956.
The renowned Italian sculptor Gino Ruggeri worked for Tito Bianchi's factory in Tuscany Italy. He was born in Volterra, the country of Alabaster, not far from Florence. Ruggeri was prolific through the 1950s and 60's, carving this large bust during that time. This is a very fine example of his work.

The Cavalier by Alex De Andreas, 1871 -1939, Belgium
Alex de Andreis' career began as a soldier in the service of the Swedish and later of the Spanish crown. As a painter he established himself with his costume paintings illustrating romanticizing tendencies, as well as scenes from the military life in the tradition of François Roybet.
Known for his Impressionist work and portraits, this extraordinary Oil on Canvas is clearly an Andreas, signed in the lower right corner measuring 32 in x 26 in. plus the stunning original gilded frame, which is typical of his work totals 42 in x 36in.
Andreas was prolific and has been sold through some of the great auction houses, including Christies, London England ranging in price from $1,000 to the tens of thousands depending on size.
